Dance Workshop With Leroy 'FX' Over Half Term At Hackney Empire 16.02.15 - 20.02.15

I am really looking forward to teaching at Hackney Empire this week over half term. This week will be about learning, sharing and inspiring each other through dance. We'll be looking at some Popping, Hip Hop choreography and self exploration through dance.

I am very excited to be a part of this project. 40 young artists, dancers, musicians, singers, rappers and actors were chosen through Hackney Empire's ADP audition process. This is a brand new and exciting piece of musical theatre, taking inspiration from the life and times of The Clark Brothers.

I had the opportunity to work with the dancers  where I choreographed a Hip Hop and Popping section. This process was about giving the dancers an opportunity to explore in different styles of dance and having an experience to learn new skills. Other top industry professionals involved are actor Patrick Miller, jazz star Orphy Robinson, choreographer Carl Parris, National Tap champion Jack Evans (Tap Attack) and musician and recording artist Renell Shaw.

Director of this show is Hackney Empire's Creative Director Susie McKenna.

I am very excited and looking forward to the show on Friday 15th August | 7.30pm.

Solo Project- 'The Battle Within'   (April 2014)

Currently choreographing on my own solo work which will be performed on Tuesday 8th April, Hat Factory, 65-67 Bute Street, Luton, Bedfordshire LU1 2EY , Luton. 'The Battle Within' is about a journey of how fear can entrap us and limit us through everyday thoughts. Being active is a condition of things that are happening or being done, someone with a pursuit taking action.

'The Battle Within' challenges fear with the principles of faith and hope, tackling how emotions and feelings affect our state of mind from a physical, mental and spiritual point of view.
